The storm
Last Saturday evening I was down at the lakehouse watching "The Fog of War". I paused the movie to go out and watch the sunset. Off to the north I noticed this enormous storm cloud. I didn't realize it was moving toward us until watching it for about 15 minutes. I was captivated by it and watched it until I was forced indoors. There was quite a bit of lightning but it is so difficult to capture that with a camera. Out of the 50 pictures I took, I only managed to get one shot with lightning in it. It was a very surreal 30 minutes to say the least with the wind completely shifting from the south to the north in a matter of minutes. Anyway, below are a couple of pics of the storm progression in chronological order.
Pet News Part 1
I already knew this because I have a brilliant chocolate lab named Guiness (see below), but some German researches confirmed that dogs are very smart understanding up to 200 words, about the same as a 3 year old human. Most of major news outlets carried this, but if you missed it, here you go.
